The Video Port USB is used to bring RS-170 video into a PC. The Video Port USB is a USB 2.0 device. We recommend the Video Port USB for laptop applications, especially for streaming video, which is very CPU-intensive. Most laptops have a USB port. There are two types of USB ports, USB 1.0 and USB 2.0. USB 1.0 will support only 15 fps at full resolution. USB2.0 will support full resolution at 30 fps (NTSC). The ports look identical, so check your PC USer Guide to determine the type. The cable is the same for either port.
Through the Video Port USB, NTSC or PAL images (color or monochrome) are converted to digital images and displayed on your PC. Our products such as CoolScreen will work with Video Ports.
